The Surgery is a training practice. Our current registrar is Dr Katherine Boon.
The doctor is fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing specialist training as a GP.
They will see a small number of patients each day and is mentored and trained closely by Dr Prasad. As part of their training a few consultations may be video recorded. If yours is one of these, you will be asked for your permission before the consultation. You are free to decline the request if you so wish. Recording will be done to help train the doctor by analysing the consultation afterwards.
We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
